Hey Seattle, I’ll be in your ‘hood Monday night, specifically in hipster-haven Capitol Hill, rocking the open mic at Hugo House’s Works In Progress. If you haven’t yet heard me read from the forthcoming VEGAN TEENAGE ZOMBIE HUNTRESS, I promise fits of snort-laughing hilarity. In fact, drinks might even be spat across the room. Grown-up drinks. From the bar. (I had you at drinks, didn’t I?)
The open mic starts at 7 p.m, and I might go on anywhere from 7-9. And because it’s open mic, all are welcome to get up there too.
Hugo House, 7-9 p.m.
1634 11th Avenue
Seattle, WA 98122
It’s free to get in, drinks will require cash or card.
I’ll be bringing my brainy friend Dr. Therese Huston, who’ll be reading a sneak-preview snippet from her forthcoming book, which just got picked up by Houghton Mifflin, with the working title “How Women Decide.” A blurb from Terri: “Most books on decision-making focus on men and their decision-making styles, offering advice that doesn’t quite fit the decision-making quandaries that women are more likely to face. I’ll explore new research and case studies on women’s patterns, exploring what both men and women need to know if they want to make wiser choices.” This book is going to make waves. This is your chance to hear about it before anyone else.
Bring your extra loud cheering voice. BOOYAH!
